Good food. Cashier is obnoxiously rude.

I only recently heard of this NJ Style Sloppy Joe. Then realized it's right down the road from me. Had to give it a try And it lives up to it's reputation. I went with a Hot Pastrami Joe. Wife had regular old Italian Sub and that was great too. Real Deal Pechters Sourdough Rye bread too!

Good food, good prices. What more can you ask for? Well, maybe better parking...

The sandwiches were HUGE!! And delicious! The online purchasing process was easy and the order was ready at the specified time. Will definitely give them business again.

Just finished my take out order! A very solid sandwich, I would focus on getting that. My salad had a few leaves that were wilted with yellow black spots and did not have onions stated in the description, however.

I've been eating here for well over 20 years. The Regular Joe (Ham) sandwich is perfect. Cozy, deli atmosphere. Basically a natural lunch time spot.

Fantastic deli. Owners and employees are always super friendly. I've been there a few times now and every visit I ended up ordering the same thing because it was so tasty - their signature Sloppy Joe! It's a huge sandwich that any enthusiast would appreciate. Great sauce and plenty of meat. Highly recommend if you stop by.

Idk how you mess up a bacon egg and cheese?? Cheese wasn’t even melted and wasn’t made how i wanted because the lady didn’t bother to ask. As soon as i walked In the woman with the bob cut at the front was rude. I didnt Even finish telling her what i wanted before she cut me off asking staying or going. Didn’t even come back to see if that was all i wanted Or how i wanted It. Next I’m sitting here looking through the glass watching the cooks make people’s food with no gloves on. Disgusting made me not wanted to finish my food. To top it off they’re each behind the counter making their own food and stuffing their faces and texting. Who runs this place.

Excellent food and very generous portions. I drive 40 minutes for the sloppy joe sandwiches. Yum

If I had only one day in Cranford, I would probably get a Turkey Joe from Mr. J's and a taylor ham, egg and cheese from C Best. They also make great sandwhich platters for events that dont break the bank.

Heard about this place and new owner Angelo Lomonte. Hubby and I decided try it out. Best pastrami and corn beef sandwiches tasted and ate in a long time. Sandwiches were so big that I had take some out in order to eat it. Great prices and friendly atmosphere. Large selection of all types of food. Definitely recommend to all

Ordered online and everything was ready when i got there and everything was delicious!

I ordered through door dash 3 meals1. Eggs and home fries2. Omelette with spinach and peppers and home fries3. PancakesI will say the pancakes were pretty good. Our food arrived warm. But our first two meals were FLAVORLESS. Im not a salt person at all but i had to add salt to the dish. The home fries were also not flavored at all. I have had many omlettes i have never had a omlette taste like this or prepared like this before. It was like a egg turnover with vegetables thrown in it that were not seasoned at all. I am very disatsified with this meal.

Went here for lunch today and was pleasantly greeted, placed my order and was out the door in under 10 min. Got a turkey sub. Very well made and fresh ingredients. Price was on point. This will be my new lunch spot when I'm in Cranford.

Our sandwiches were great. There was a generous amount of fresh tasting meat and the rolls were very fresh.

Ordered sandwiches for the family that had come to visit for the holiday. Everything was amazing, fresh, and delicious! Mr. J’s never disappoints!

I always order the Dagwood. Good food at reasonable prices. It's my favorite spot for a quick meal when I WFH.Their breakfasts are great, it's always hard to decide between pancakes, waffles, omelettes & the classic breakfast sandwiches.Update Dec 2019:I don't know what happened but the service quality has dropped consistently in the last few weeks: wrong orders and not even an apology.It's a shame that this is happening to them. I hope they can recover from this setback soon.

Gave it a shot with new owner, clearly not the same place . The Dagwood is dead . I knew the original Mr. J and John John kept the same quality for years. RIP Dagwood . PS . I believe the gloves are state law now, please wear em

It’s a classic small town place where regulars meet to talk and you can get good food for good prices. On my last visit I got breakfast and it was fast, hot and delicious! The coffee is also very good. It’s amazing how other places can mess up a simple cup of coffee!! I also like the way they fit the Taylor Ham (pork roll) on the thinner side! I don’t usually have lunch there but I’ve had many different breakfast items and have never been disappointed!

Best soup around! But their credit card machine doesn't allow you to add a tip for the servers. If you don't want to look like a crappy customer, you've gotta go through the inconvenience of making sure you have cash.

Another place that's always on my bucket list during my travels, this place makes the best sandwiches on the East Coast! Sloppy Joes are incredible, and with several different varieties; their subs, pasta, and salads are excellent choices too. I'm a loyal customer of thirteen years and always recommend it to friends who are passing through New Jersey.

I had the fresh mozzarella salad with grilled chicken. The chicken tasted like it was boiled and then put on the grill to lightly brown.
